Climate change – an opinion.

At the moment, we are in the midst of horrendous fires in a large part of the country. Half of NSW is burning. For the rest of the country, it’s making us nervous. In 2009, Victorians saw one of the worst bushfires in history. With one day reaching temperatures of 47 degrees C. This mega fire we are seeing is Black Saturday times 100. It’s ferocity is like a horror movie.

Living in an arid country, one wonders why our water restrictions are not manditory throughout the year, regardless where you live. One also wonders how the politicians of this country still have their heads in the sand about climate change. Yes, this is a political point of contention, but as we enter into a summer of unknown catastrophe, why aren’t we talking more about it?

Climate change…It affects every single person in the world. It affects me, it affects my family and it affects you.
